About Roatán

Roatán is an island in the Caribbean off the coast of mainland Honduras. It is an attractive island and draws many tourists to its beaches and snorkeling. However, there is steady population that lives there year round and several churches that minister to the spiritual needs of the island population. Other populated islands are nearby that are within a boat ride from Roatán where other churches are located as well.

The training at Roatán is a strategic opportunity to equip pastors and leaders from this island community and nearby islands. It is expected that teams will have the opportunity to train more than 30 pastors and leaders in a local Baptist church. The project site is expected to draw English and Spanish-speaking students.

Travel & Accomodations

Teams will fly into the Roatán airport at Coxen Hole from hub airports in the USA. Teams will then travel by missionary vehicle to the training site and stay in missionary housing or a hotel.
