About Central South Asia
This region is one of the most populated areas in this part of the world with a population of almost 10 million people. Local culture reflects both Muslim and Hindu elements as well as a milieu of other South Asian influences - reflected in the fact that both Urdu and Telugu are the official languages of the region.
This training project in Central South Asia offers an opportunity to train women from two local churches, to equip them in their understanding of the Bible, so that they can be effective disciple-makers in their family, church, and community. While some evangelical churches in the area, many women lack basic biblical literacy and are eager to receive this training. Teams will be working with Reaching & Teaching women’s ministry staff at this strategic site.
Travel & Accomodations
The team will travel to the region by air and stay in the capital city of the area. Accommodations will be provided at a local and secure retreat center and travel will be arranged to the training site within the city each day. Travel to this site requires the purchase of a visa required by the host country prior to travel. Please coordinate visa procurement with Reaching & Teaching staff.
