Catacamas lies in the Olancho Department of Honduras approximately 3 hours drive from the Honduran capital, Tegucigalpa. It lies in a large, lush valley approximately 1,500 feet above sea level.
The majority of the pastors and leaders coming to the training in Catacamas will be of Mestizo stock (a mixture of Spanish and indigenous ancestry). The Pech or Paya Indians also live in the Olancho Department, although it is unclear if there will be pastors and leaders from among them at the trainings.
