Executive Director of Ministry Mobilization and Advancement
Jon and Lindsay Deedrick and their kids (Hadley Mae and Cooper) live in Louisville, Kentucky, where they are members of Third Avenue Baptist Church. Jon graduated from Southern Seminary in May of 2013 (M. Div.). He oversees mobilization of the ministry through missionary recruiting, church partnerships, and organizational partnerships, and advancement of the ministry through communications and donor development. Jon also regularly travels abroad with Reaching & Teaching to train pastors.
Regional Mobilizer and Director of Partnerships
Dean is a native Pennsylvanian and, for the past five years, has served on staff at Oakwood Baptist Church in Camp Hill. Dean and his wife Kathy have three children. He first felt called to be involved in missions when he served on the Board of Directors of To Every Tribe Ministries in South Texas. His role with Reaching and Teaching will be to lead trips, to help develop partnership with both churches and individual teachers, and to promote the ministry through donor development.
Kathy is the wife of Dean Bertsch, who also serves on the stateside staff. Kathy, Dean, and their family live in Lewisberry, PA, and they belong to Oakwood Baptist Church in Camp Hill. Kathy is responsible for processing the applications of those who are seeking to participate in the ministry, whether in a short-term or long-term capacity. Kathy and Dean are excited to serve together as a ministry team with Reaching & Teaching and desire to advance the gospel through their respective roles.
Director of Short-term Ministries
Rocky and Sarah Coleman and their four children (Caleb, Cade, Eliana, and Crosby) live in Louisville, Kentucky, where they are members of Ninth and O Baptist Church. Rocky is currently completing a Ph.D. in Evangelism and Missions at Southern Seminary (December 2017). He is passionate about training pastors, specifically through the ministry of Reaching & Teaching. Rocky is looking forward to starting his new responsibilities as Director of Short-term Ministries.
Chad, Jennifer and their four children (Collin, Ainsley, Elijah, and Noah) live in Kennesaw, GA, where they are members of Mt. Vernon Baptist Church in Sandy Springs. Chad graduated from Southern Seminary in May of 2007 (M. Div) and served on staff in the local church for over eight years just outside of Atlanta prior to joining Reaching & Teaching. He is responsible for mobilizing pastors, churches and associations to partner with Reaching and Teaching throughout the Southeast. Chad is passionate to see local churches strengthened as pastors are trained, equipped, and encouraged through deeper discipleship and theological education.
Training Facilitator for Latin America
Scott has more than 20 years of experience in missions and local church ministry. Scott and his wife Corey live in Salado, TX, with their 3 children (Corban, Noah, and Ellie) He is a graduate of Oklahoma Baptist University, Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary (MDivBL) and earned a Ph.D. in Christian Apologetics and Worldview at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. He is fluent in Spanish and has a strong call to develop church leaders in their local context. With Reaching and Teaching, Scott will provide theological training in Latin America, identify opportunities for new training sites, and coordinate partner churches from the U.S.
Regional Mobilizer and Director of Missionary Care
John and Joanne Rowe live in Orlando, Florida, and are members at First Baptist Orlando. John graduated from Southern Seminary in 2006 (M. Div.) and New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary (D. Min.). John has a heart for pastoral training, discipleship, evangelism, and pastoral counseling and is eager to provide support to Reaching and Teaching missionary families as well as helping train pastors in Latin America. The Rowes have two children, Logan and Laura.
Training Facilitator for Latin America
Tony Steele and his wife, Beverly moved to Jerez, Zacatecas, Mexico in May, 2012 to serve as missionaries after a year of language school in Costa Rica. Their ministry involved church work, working with teams to do evangelism projects, and church planting. As time passed, the emphasis increasingly began to focus on theological training for pastors and church leaders. In 2014 it became apparent that the Lord was leading Tony to focus on developing theological training throughout Latin America with Reaching & Teaching International Ministries. Tony develops and oversees projects and leads teams to do theological training across Latin America. He also connects teams and partnering churches from the USA with Reaching & Teaching projects and provides pre-trip orientation and debrief. He also works with other stateside staff to recruit new missionaries and staff. He earned an M.Div. (1988) and D.Miss. (2016) from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. Tony and Beverly have two children and four grandchildren.
