Otavalo, Ecuador

May 13, 2017 - May 20, 2017

Total trip cost: $1700

This training site is serving the indigenous pastors from Otavalo and the surrounding communities. In addition, we are raising up and equipping new leaders to plant and pastor churches in the region. Otavalo is a small city in northern Ecuador comprised mainly of the indigenous Quichua people.

This project site is a ministry of Oakwood Baptist Church in Camp Hill, PA. For information about this site and to inquire about serving on a short-term trip here, please email [email protected] prior to completing online application.

Those who participate on this trip will teach a course on homiletics, as well as give instruction on the spiritual discipline of stewardship and the topic of community engagement.

All team members are expected to procure a copy of: "Hearts, Heads, and Hands: A Manual for Training Others to Train Others" and have read: "Foreign to Familiar: A Guide to Understanding Hot - And Cold - Climate Cultures." Because Reaching & Teaching does not ship these resources, we do not adjust the trip cost to account for the purchasing of them.

We're sorry, applications for this trip have closed.
