The Lord has blessed Reaching & Teaching is experiencing tremendous growth, and just as we having growing opportunities, so do we have growing needs. All Reaching & Teaching staff members must agree with the Baptist Faith and Message 2000 or the Abstract of Principles.

Reaching & Teaching has a decentralized home office, such that staff members are free to live at the location of their choice. Compensation will be designated upon hire and is based upon the position and the candidate’s ministry experience. All staff members are responsible for raising a financial support package and must contribute monthly service fee (7% of receipts or $400/month, whichever is higher) for employment overhead.

Director of Communications and Marketing

The Director of Communications and Marketing will provide leadership and execution of all Reaching & Teaching digital, social media, and marketing assets, while developing a comprehensive communications strategy in order to raise the ministry’s public profile and serve the church with missions resources. The ideal candidate will be experienced in a related field, possess superior writing and communication skills, have social media expertise, and be passionate about making disciples. Primary responsibilities include:

  • Developing and executing a thorough marketing and communications strategy
  • Serving as managing editor of the Reaching & Teaching blog
  • Facilitating the production of the Reaching & Teaching podcast
  • Writing the quarterly ministry newsletter
  • Managing and developing photo and video assets for use across all Reaching & Teaching platforms
  • Identifying external contractors with whom Reaching & Teaching can partner
  • Coordinating Reaching & Teaching marketing details at conferences and events

QUALIFCATIONS:

  • Mature disciple of Jesus Christ
  • 2-3 years experience in marketing/communications or a degree in a related field
  • Understanding of how to develop and manage a marketing/communications strategy
  • Excellent writing and communications skills
  • Proficiency in Creative Suite or similar software (preferred)
  • Social media expertise
  • Detail-oriented

Training Facilitator

The training facilitator will work with the home office to facilitate pastoral training activities in his region of responsibility, primarily in conjunction with short-term trip teams and secondarily as a consultant for field missionaries. The ideal candidate will have missions experience in his area of service. His primary responsibilities include:

  • Serving as team leader and teacher on the initial trip to all new locations whenever possible
  • Participating on subsequent trip teams to existing locations on a rotating basis as often as possible to ensure quality control in teaching, healthy team interactions with nationals, effectiveness of arrangement in local training center, and assist missionary/site coordinator to maximize the training in his location
  • Providing orientation and consultation to stateside churches, pastors, and team members who have adopted a site or committed to a trip to answer questions, explaining dynamics of our training program, and answering logistical questions

Regional Mobilizer

The Regional Mobilizer will work to identify and mobilize interested pastors, churches, and associations of like-minded believers and invite them to partner with RTIM. Specifically, we are looking for mobilizers in the midwestern, southwestern, and northwestern, western regions of the U.S. The ideal candidate will be a gifted and passionate communicator, skilled in networking for ministry, possess ministry experience, and be a passionate disciple-maker. Primary responsibilities include:

  • Promoting and mobilizing by representing RTIM at conferences or church events
  • Meeting with churches, associations, and organizations to connect them to Reaching & Teaching
  • Serving as site coordinator to field locations as assigned. This will include assembling teams, communicating with all trip participants, providing pre-trip orientation, field leadership, and post-trip debriefing to maximize field experience
