Nick Bal

Board of Directors

Nick Bal has more than 20 years of fundraising experience in a variety of philanthropic fields. He currently serves as Director of Donor Ministries for The Gospel Coalition. Additionally, he is President of Slingshot Consultants, Inc., which helps gospel-centered churches construct successful fundraising campaigns. Prior to this, he filled the role of Director of Development for the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences at Iowa State University. From 1998-2010 Nick served as a campus missionary at Drake University. He then served as Associate Pastor at Soteria Church in Des Moines, Iowa, until 2013. Nick and his wife, Carol, have been married since 1997 and have two daughters, Ava and Amelia.

Felipe Castro

Felipe is the Director of Hispanic Initiatives at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, where he plays a significant role in developing relationships with Latin American churches. He holds a BBA in Accounting from The Bernard Baruch College and a Master of Arts in Missiology from Southern. For over thirty years he worked in the business sector, holding different management positions. He has served as Missions Pastor for The International Baptist Church in the Dominican Republic and has served in several short-term missions with Reaching & Teaching in Peru and Haiti. He is married to Cynthia and has five children.

Miles Coleman

Board of Directors

Miles Coleman is a partner at the law firm of Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough LLP where he practices in the areas of appeals, business litigation, and First Amendment law. He is also a licensed NFL agent. Miles serves as an appointed member of the South Carolina Advisory Committee to the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights, as the Chairman of the South Carolina Chapter of the Federalist Society for Law and Public Policy, and as co-chair of the South Carolina Bar’s Wellness Committee. He is a Blackstone Legal Fellow, a Washington Fellow of the National Review Institute, and a graduate of Leadership South Carolina. He has written and spoken extensively on freedoms of speech, religion, and association, and has advised and represented many clients in this regard. He resides in Greenville, South Carolina with his wife and two young sons.

Jason Glas

Board of Directors

Jason is City President at Ameris Bank in Valdosta, GA. He brings years of experience in finance, business leadership, construction, and church leadership to his role as a board member for Reaching & Teaching. He holds a B.A. in History as well as a M.Div. in Biblical and Theological Studies. Jason became involved with Reaching & Teaching at its inception and has served on short-term mission trips as well as a missions mobilizer for Reaching & Teaching. He serves as the Executive Pastor at Covenant Baptist Church in Valdosta. Jason is married to Marsha and has five children.

Tom Gorman

Board of Directors

Tom Gorman spent 25 years as a federal law enforcement officer, having served both domestically and internationally in that capacity. He spent the last 15 years in positions of agency leadership before retiring to the Louisville area, where he is working toward a Master of Divinity at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. In addition to his career in law enforcement, Tom has served in several safety and security roles, including Director of Safety and Security of a church with several thousand members and with the SBTS Campus Police. He currently resides in Louisville with his wife, Jenny, and their two children.

Rowe Hamilton, CPA

Board of Directors

Rowe serves as a CPA with Strothman & Company in Louisville, KY. He brings over 30 years of experience to Strothman & Company as well as his role as a board member for Reaching & Teaching. Prior to joining Strothman & Company, Rowe worked in both the public and private sectors. He spent the majority of his career serving as a Founder and Managing Partner of Mather, Hamilton & Co. In addition to his professional experience, Rowe also served as a Staff Sergeant in the U.S. Army Reserve, 100th Division.

Jeff Love, M.D.

Board of Directors

Jeff is a board-certified emergency medicine physician and former USAF B-52 pilot. Dr. Love has extensive experience in missions, having served with mission teams in Africa, Central and South America. He earned a M.Div. from Southern Seminary and is currently working on his Th.M. In addition, to serving on the Board of Directors for Reaching & Teaching, he also serves as our medical director. He currently lives in Albuquerque, NM.

Matt Rogers

Board of Directors

Matt Rogers is pastor of The Church at Cherrydale in Greenville, SC, having planted the church in 2009. Matt also serves as Assistant Professor for Church Planting and Missions at Southeastern Theological Seminary (SEBTS) in Wake Forest, NC. Matt holds a Master of Arts in Counseling from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary and a Master of Divinity and PhD from SEBTS. Matt writes and speaks throughout the United States on discipleship, church planting, and missions. Matt and his wife, Sarah, have four children: Corrie, Avery, Willa and Hudson.
